Crowdtap: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion

Crowdtap has done it again, this time with another amazing product, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen. 

I recently received a full sized sample from Crowdtap to test out the Sunscreen. Whenever I hear the word sunscreen, it reminds me of a sticky gooey substance that smells awful and makes your skin feel so weighed down. Not this stuff, I was blown away by the lovely fragrance, and the weightless formula, It takes seconds to get absorbed in your skin and just keeps you skin well moisturized for over 12 hours. It is a SPF 30 Broad spectrum protection formula, that is creamy in consistency. 

It feels weightless which I love the most about this product.The packaging  is also very cute. I completely recommend this product, I have tried few other sport sun protection sunscreens from this brand, but this one is my favorite.

Nuxe Paris: Product Review

On reading amazing reviews within the beauty community about their Multi-purpose Dry Oil 'Huile Prodigieuse' , I approached Nuxe to find out more about this all-in-one product, and they were kind enough to send me their Best sellers for product reviews.The kit they sent me included five of their best selling skin care products, and they arrived in this gorgeous packaging. Included was a sweet handwritten note from Team Nuxe and a Information brochure.

I am so glad I was introduced to this Parisian Natural origin skincare brand. Their Gorgeous CEO & Founder, Aliza Jabes, who grew up in the city of light, was inspired to create a unique beauty concept, combining Nature and Luxury, providing every woman with a Spa like sensorial experience, using these unique skincare products with natural active ingredients.

Firstly, I would like to talk about this amazing product, like no other I have tried before. Ofcourse, I am talking about the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil for Face, Body and Hair,The minute you apply this gorgeous oil on your body or hair, it just bathes you in a lap of luxury. It's fragrance is so divine, and indulgent, it instantly calms down your senses. I have been using this oil after my shower post a stressful day at work. It's made from the most gentle precious botanical oils, such as, Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and St. John's Wort, that deeply nourish,repair and soften. It is also free from silicone and parabens, which is why its so kind on your skin and hair. No wonder this is the best selling Dry Oil in France! It instantly gets absorbed in your skin, is not greasy at all, and keeps your skin feeling hydrated and nourished. I am absolutely in love with this beautiful Dry Oil, and I very highly recommend it. 

 

Also included was the Mini Huile Prodigieuse Or which is their shimmering Dry Oil for a more illuminating effect. It isn't overly sparkly when you apply, but gives a nice smooth golden glow to your skin. This oil is perfect for a dressy night out where you need just little shimmer and glow. The next product was 24-Hour Soothing and Hydrating Day Creme - Moisturizer Creme - Creme Fraiche de Beaute. This moisturizing creme with Plant Milks and White Blossom has a very floral scent. It takes a few seconds to get fully absorbed in your skin, and leaves it feeling so hydrated and soft. They also suggest mixing a little with your foundation for a more smoother silkier application. It does make your skin very smooth instantly, and the formula is long lasting.

They sent me this luxurious Micellar Foaming Cleanser with Rose Petals that literally smells like roses, and is such a gentle cleanser. This is a soap free micellar formula that purifies skin as it cleans and is perfect for sensitive skin. It just makes you feel refreshed and skin feeling beautiful and fragrant. Its a good sized pump action bottle.

Also included was this Reve de Miel Ultra-nourishing Lip Balm which is another one of their best sellers. This balm is enriched with honey and natural oils that protect and repair your dry lips. Its a nice neutral smelling formula that glides on easy. They do suggest you re-apply as needed through the day. Again it has natural ingredients and is paraben-free. It comes in a nice little jar you can keep on your work desk to reapply as required. I must add that the packaging is so gorgeous. 

I am absolutely in love with this Parisian skin care line of products and plan on buying a few products for the favorite women in my life. The kits are perfect for gifting, especially because the packaging is so beautiful. These products are really gentle and kind to the skin, and the feminine fragrance is such a welcome bonus!

Birchbox May 2016 Out of Doors

This month the box was a bit more low-key than usual, I think I just get too excited for my Birchbox. On top of it they included that dreaded tiny perfume sample. But overall I am not totally disappointed with the box. Just that I have received great products in the past from them, so this one definitely is not my favorite box from them. 

Having said that the box design is so adorable, and the theme was “Out of Doors”, which is why they included a SPF product with each box.

I did select Coola Sunscreen White Tea SPF 50 sample from the sample choice.

Clean Blossom Eau de Parfum(Full sized $72) 

Beautiful Feminine Floral scent, absolutely divine and captures the essence of spring. With notes of Tunisian neroli, orange blossom, and sensual sandalwood, this scent is so pleasant. I wish I had the full sized version of this. Also I felt that this scent lingers on for a long time after application, compared to others.

Burt’s Bee Tinted Balm(Full sized $7)

I had bought a Lip Tinted Balm in the shade Peony a few years back, and somehow I wasn’t very pleased with it.The formula was too shiny and a bit greasy, and I could never use it again. So I am not planning to use this one. But some other products from Burt’s bee have worked very well for me.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner (Full sized - $16, Mini $8)

I had previously received the Fat Liquid Liner from Birchbox in January 2016, which was a full sized product worth $18 and I absolutely adore it. So I am looking forward to trying out this Mini liner once my NYC Precise Tip Liquid Liner runs out

COOLA® Classic Face Sport SPF 50White Tea (Full sized $32)

Hmm, not pleased with this one. I know, I selected it from my sample choice but, the size was just inexcusable. It was hardly worth 1-2 tries. I love the brand Coola, and especially loved their COOLA® Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer, that I received previously. But I don’t think I would purchase this one myself, mainly because of the awful smell.

Davines OI All in One Milk (FullSized- $30)

The scent is a bit intense, but does disappear soon enough. I think it did a good job in taming my dry ends, I was also satisfied with the sample size.This product is powered with roucou oil that supports hair growth and protects it from UV radiation, it has ellagic acid fights off free radicals and cell damage. For added hydration, it has provitamin B5 and a functional amino complex, that conditions hair, keeping them soft and supple during heat styling and helps tame frizz. 

Davines OIConditioner - Absolute Beautifying Conditioner for All Hair Types (FullSized $34)

Davines OI Shampoo -Absolute Beautifying Shampoo for All Hair Types (Fullsized $28)

These again, were tiny one-use samples that they added as bonus products. These are also packed with natural active ingredients that target sun damage and help tame that unwanted frizz.

Overall, not the Birchbox I was hoping for, but there are few things that I will still end up using. But in terms of the sample sizes for a $10 subscription, I have always felt, Birchbox falls short compared to other subscriptions boxes.

Allure Beauty Box May 2016

It just blows my mind how good these boxes are compared to other subscription boxes, in terms of value and relevance. They have some unique picks that always surprise me. This month, the highlight of the box was definitely getting the full-sized Foreo Luna Play worth a whopping $39, which pretty much pays the box value and then some. I do hear few people ranting on Youtube that they are unable to receive these boxes, and Its really no wonder that these boxes are absolutely sold out. They are just loaded with great brands and products. This month the value was around $94!! 

The Foreo Luna Play a disposable cleansing brush that lasts for 100 uses and you can toss it out and replace this, that way its more hygienic. The Foreo Day Cleanser and Foreo Night Cleanser smell distinctly different, Day cleanser has a more fruity scent, The Night cleanser also acts like a scrub as it has beads,so does a great job in cleansing the pores along with the brush. I received it in this lovely Fuschia color but it comes in many different colors on their website. They have also included a free code to save value of Luna Play on Purchase of Luna Play 2. 

Then there was this lovely Pixi Mattlustre lipstick in Rose Naturelle, Its a lovely pigmented nude-brown shade that's hydrating with Vitamins C/E, Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid. It is a bit Tiny , The full-sized product costs around $12, but this sample is great to just toss in your purse. I am kinda enjoying this small mini!

The Nail polish included in the box by Lauren B. nail polish in Santa Barbara Surf, is such a fun color. I did not have this in my collection so I was very pleased to receive this unique color. The other thing to note is that this polish is free from many harmful chemicals such as Formaldehyde, Totulene, etc. I was also very happy with the quality of the polish. You will need to put on 2 coats for a opaque look.

The serum that came with the box is from a lesser known brand, I think I had never heard of this brand before it came in my Allure box.But after researching a bit about this product, I found out that the full sized Equitance Brightening Serum + Spot Corrector is almost $125. This is one of those targeted serums that help correct dark spots over time and continued use, I am quite interested in seeing the results after 4 weeks of use, The sample is enough for about a month's use, so that's helpful. 

  

I have heard the saying too many times that "a woman can never have enough Mascara", but that's not the case with me, I have too many mascara's from my previous boxes, so might just give this to someone to try out for me. The brush is very uniquely designed with a narrow end for inner line lashes and fat center to load the longer lashes, to give it a fuller look. The full sized Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara is almost $24. The brand Make Up For Ever is a great brand, I especially love their primer selections

The box included a tiny sample of Cötz Flawless Complexion SPF 50, that's good for travel use. It is lightweight and almost odorless. I didn't think much of it,the packaging is very basic.The main ingredient is Zinc Oxide. I thought the formula was a bit separated when I used it. I don't think I was pleased enough to buy this product myself for a $20 price. 

Overall, I am so pleased with my Allure May Box, I am always most excited to get this box. Their Bonus boxes are also absolutely wonderful to receive with many highly rated products, Cant wait to see whats in my next month's box!

Crowdtap very kindly sent me these Top rated Garnier Products as part of a campaign for review purposes. These came at a perfect time, as I was looking for a good sun protection , and Dark Spot reduction Solution, so these products definitely hit home with me.

All three products are extremely useful to me, as I live in sunny California  and as wonderful as it is strolling next to the beach on a nice warm sunday, the sun can do a whole lot of damage to your skin.

The Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Anti-Sun Damage Daily Moisturizer comes packed with Antioxidant Complex of Vitamin C & E and gentle exfoliating Lipo-Hydroxyl Acid (LHA). It is not a heavy formula, takes a few seconds to get absorbed into the skin completely and leaves it very hydrated and not at all greasy. It does have Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Protection, but I always advice on re-applying sunscreen whenever you can. I am very curious to see how well, my skin responds to this formula after regular use, but having used it few times, I certainly am very pleased with the fragrance and feel of the Sunscreen.

Next, they sent me their highly rated Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Anti-Puff Eye Roller, that beauty experts swear by, and for a good reason. This Anti-Puff Eye roller is so refreshing the moment you apply on your dark circles and under eye area. It feels cool on the sensitive area, and glides on easy. The Gel formula is clear and has Antioxidant Vitamin C, Mint and Caffeine that helps keep the puffiness out.

I am most excited to use the Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Dark Spot Overnight Peel. This formula has Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) and Vitamin C, which are used in many expensive peel formulations, So I am very happy that there is a affordable skin solution with the same formula. You need to use this regularly for 4 weeks to see results for a a more even skin tone and brighter skin. But it is gentle enough to use everyday, which is great!

I really was in need of a fantastic new brush, so I was very excited to try out the spin brush. I have to say, going in, I did not expect the Brush and toothpaste to be so effective. 

The spearmint toothpaste is a bit grainy and so very refreshing, it instantly works on your entire mouth, giving you that fresh clean feel. Truly there is a surge of cool refreshing spearmint freshness in your mouth. 

I don't know where to begin with the spin brush , This brush is truly effective. It is battery operated,so initially, I was a bit anxious as it was a bit noisy. But its really amazing how gentle and thorough the brush is on your teeth and mouth. I felt like I just got my cleaning done at the Dentist. It reaches those hard to reach places and gets rid of plaque almost instantly. I wish I had broken up with my old toothbrush a long time back, I always thought battery operated brushes are way too expensive. But this brush is both,  affordable and very effective.

Very happy with the results, I do want to see if it eventually strengthens my enamel, and whitens my teeth. I will update this blog once I see results.

Of course I signed up to be a part of this awesome mission, and I was really pleased with the results.The Regimen starts by using the shampoo, then the conditioner and then applying the Leave-In treatment. The best part about this product was how I still had volume in my hair, but hair felt nourished and tamed.
